The superconducting energy gap is found at 0 deg K as a function of the momentum-energy four-vector. A damping factor is found that is proportional to some power n of the momentum. The damping is found for n = 0, 1, and 2. For n = 2 (quadratic damping), which corresponds to the situation observed in superconductors and He/sup 3/, the superconducting and superfluid critical temperature is calculated to be about 8 x 10/sup -4/ deg K.
