Abstract

The low-temperature thermal conductivity of an insulator with random scattering centers is evaluated under realistic boundary conditions. The Boltzmann equation is solved for this purpose. The dependence of the thermal conductivity on temperature and impurity concentration, as well as the nature of the scattering centers, is discussed.
