‘Field-usable’ diode-pumped ~120 nmwavelength-tunable CW mid-IR fibre laser

Abstract

The authors report continuously tunable (2.71 µm – 2.83 µm) operation of a diode-pumped mid-IR Er-doped ZBLAN fibre laser, with output powers > 1 mW over the entire 120 nm tuning range and > 5 mW over 56 nm (2.78 µm to 2.83 µm) of this range.
