Computational electromagnetics of metal nanoparticles and their aggregates

Abstract

The absorption and scattering of light by silver and gold nanoparticles and their aggregates provides a powerful mechanism for detecting important molecules in a variety of applications. The authors describe recent advances in determining nanoparticle optical properties using computational electromagnetics.
