Constraints on the Majoron interactions from the supernova SN1987A

Abstract

The energy release from supernovas via the emission of Majoron-like particles is considered to obtain a constraint on the Yukawa couplings with neutrinos. In view of the observed neutrino flux from the supernova SN1987A, a forbidden region of the Yukawa coupling, 2\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}${10}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}5}$3\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}${10}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}4}$, is obtained. We also consider some implications of our result to the Majoron models.
