The Distribution of Immunoglobulin in the Rabbit Eye

Abstract

The location of immunoglobulin G and albumin was studied in the eyes of six rabbits. Generally, the presence of these proteins in an ocular tissue corresponded to its vascularization. Exceptions were the cornea, which although avascular contained a great deal of immunoglobulin, and the retina and iris, which although vascular contained no immunoglobulin.
