Elastic Scattering of Electrons from Argon-40

Abstract

The r.m.s. charge radius of Argon-40 was measured by elastic electron scattering in the momentum transfer range 0.5 < q < 0.85 fm −1 . The result obtained using a phase shift code and assuming a Fermi distribution was 3.473 ± 0.045 fm.
