Investigation into the Statistical Characteristics of Bubbles in Two-Phase Flow : 2nd Report. Application and Establishment of Electric Resistivity Probe Method

Abstract

The validity of the analysis presented in the 1st Report is confirmed through the comparisons of analysed results with those measured by the other methods, i.e. photographic and isolating valve methods. The comparisons were made using test results of air-water vertical upward bubble flow. Local bubble size distributions and local void fractions were estimated by analysing the information from the digital counter. These results are in good agreement with those obtained by the other methods.
