Abstract

The case history is presented of a woman suffering from thyroid carcinoma with cerebral and pulmonary metastases, who, after X-ray therapy (3900 r over the neck) in 1948 and radioiodine medication in 1951 and the beginning of 1952 (up to 261 mc), developed aplastic anaemia which ended fatally in acute leukaemia in the course of the year 1952.
