Abstract

Patients with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia who are treated with SGAs have similarly high rates of MetS. These findings suggest a shared susceptibility to antipsychotic-related metabolic dysregulations that is not primarily related to psychiatric diagnosis or concomitant mood stabilizer treatment.
