Abstract

The outgassing behavior of aluminum samples irradiated with 100-keV protons was studied during annealing to determine the relationship between hydrogen evolution and observations on blister formation during annealing. The outgassing process appears to be diffusion controlled and competes with the process of blister formation for the available hydrogen.
