An overview of the basic rheological behavior of polymer fluids with an emphasis on polymer melts

Abstract

This series of "educationally oriented" papers has the purpose of assisting the academician who is planning to introduce a basic course in polymer science to chemistry students. The goal of this paper is to attempt to take a molecular and non mathematical approach to explain many of the basics of the rheological behavior of polymer melts or fluids.
