Disconjugacy and Transformations for Symplectic Systems

Abstract

Basic oscillation and transformation properties of symplectic difference systems are established. In particular, it is shown that the Riccati-type matrix difference equation and a certain quadratic functional play the same role in this theory and their scalar counterparts.
