The osseointegration stimulatory effect of macrogeometry‐modified implants: a study in the rabbit

Abstract

The modified implant macrogeometry with microthreads in between promoted effect in the femur. However, no statistical differences could be seen in the tibia, suggesting that the modification may be more effective in bone with poor bone quality, such as in the maxillary bone.
