Abstract

* This article has the same purpose as my notes on Th. 507-616, Mnemos. IV 24 (1971), 1-10, viz. to form a supplement to West's commentary. I take the opportunity of correcting my interpretation of Th. 551 : ???f does not express intensity but denotes the fact that Zeus did not reveal his intentions. Cf. Horn, t 210 ???f . . . ???a??e, ? 310 ?e?d?se ???f. The well-known editions, commentaries and translations will be referred to by author's name only.
