Abstract

Abstract Noradrenaline is present in the guinea-pig vas deferens at a concentration some 15 to 20 times greater than in the cat spleen, but this level is far less susceptible to change. Neither stimulation nor decentralization of the adrenergic innervation of the guinea-pig vas deferens produces any alteration in the noradrenaline content. This is in marked contrast to the cat spleen in which similar procedures have previously been shown to cause significant changes in noradrenaline levels.
