Abstract (1) Flammulin, an antitumor substance of Flammulina velutipes, has been demonstrated to be a basic simple protein with a molecular weight of about 24000 and to be homogeneous in electrophoresis and sedimentation. Analyses of amino acids indicated the following composition: Lys5, His5, Arg14, Asp37, Thr20, Seri12, Glu18, Pro19, Gly22, Ala34, Half-cys3, Val5, Met0, isoLeu6, Leu9, alloisoLeu1, Tyr4, phe8, Try1, (CONH2)25.
