INTESTINAL PERFORATION AS A COMPLICATION OF THE NEONATAL SMALL LEFT COLON SYNDROME

Abstract

Intestinal perforation can occur as a complication of the neonatal small left colon syndrome. Four such infants are reported. Early diagnosis and treatment, utilizing water soluble contrast enema examination, are recommended to reduce the frequency of this complication.
