Unexpected Contribution of Moderate Traumatic Brain Injury to Death after Major Trauma

Abstract

This study confirms that the coexistence of moderate traumatic brain injury with extracranial injury is associated with a doubling of the predicted mortality rate throughout the injury severity ranges studied.
