In Brief Microsurgical bilateral decompression via a unilateral approach provided satisfactory clinical outcome with a reoperation rate of 7% over longer than 5-year follow-up. The radiographic changes after this procedure were similar to those described in other reports on the natural course of lumbar spinal stenosis and degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis.
