Abstract A novel fluorescence detection system using a chemosensor for phosphoprotein in gel electrophoresis analysis has been developed. The system employed bis-Zn(II)-dipycolylamine (Dpa)-appended anthracene as a fluorescent staining dye to carry out convenient and selective detection of phosphoproteins in SDS-PAGE.
