Abstract

A collection of the essential experimental results and the main lines of theoretical explanation is presented as an integrated whole. Nuclear collisions are considered in terms of the total cross section, differential cross section, inelastic collisions, meson production, polarization. Coulomb scattering, resonance theory, phase-shift analysis, and phenomenological theories. (W.D.M.)
