SUMMARY The investigation of 51 females with urinary incontinence is described. Twenty‐one patients were subsequently treated with an electronic pessary with worthwhile improvement in 11. The method controls rather than cures incontinence. Although the technique has produced useful results it is suggested that for the majority of patients surgery remains the first line of treatment.
