Nakagami- <i>m</i> phase-envelope joint distribution

Abstract

The exact Nakagami-m phase-envelope joint distribution is obtained. Apart from the case m=l, the phase distribution is not uniform. It bears similar shapes to those of Hoyt and Rice, and coincides with those at the limiting values of their parameters, for which their envelopes also coincide.
