The 3p4D1/2,3/2,5/2,7/20 energy levels in O II were investigated by means of beam-foil excitation and the resultant lifetimes were corrected for cascade effects using the arbitrarily normalized decay curve (ANDC) technique. The results are compared with theoretical calculations, as well as results obtained by other workers.
