Static quadrupole moments and B(E2) values in sd - shell nuclei

Abstract

The static electric quadrupole moments, magnetic dipole moments and the reduced transition probabilities for E2 transitions in some sd-shell nuclei are calculated from the projected multishell Hartree-Fock wavefunctions. The overall agreement between the calculated and experimental results is quite good.
