Phillips found a linear relation between the triton energy ${E}_{t}$ and the doublet $n\ensuremath{-}d$ scattering length $^{2}a$ for a variety of separable tensor potentials. We have treated many more separable potentials, and also the Tabakin and Mongan rank-two separable potentials. The linear relation holds well for two-body potentials that fit the energies of the two-body triplet bound and singlet antibound states.
