Bone Mineral Status in End-Stage Liver Disease and the Effect of Liver Transplantation

Abstract

Early and accelerated bone loss occurred after liver transplantation. This bone reduction seems to be mainly the result of increased bone resorption, possibly related to corticosteroid therapy.
