Objective evaluation of physical functioning enables occupational therapists to quantify evaluation and re‐evaluation. To this end quantitative aspects oft he original Brunnstrom motor recovery stages were extracted, the procedure standardized, and provided with a numerical score. To establish inter‐rater reliability six assessors were used to assess eighteen adult cerebrovascular patients referred for comprehensive rehabilitation. The six sets of scores yielded correlation coefficient with a range of 0.74 to 0.98 and a highly significant Kendall's coefficients of concordance.
