Carcinosarcoma of the gallbladder: Report of a case

Abstract

Carcinosarcomas of the gallbladder are rare tumors characterized by malignant epithelial and mesenchymal components that grow intermingled into each other. Herein we present a case that illustrates the difficulties in the diagnosis and the clinical management of this entity.
