ON SOME IMPROVEMENTS IN THE GEODETIC FRAMEWORK OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

Abstract

AbstractGeodetic Services was contracted by the Lands and Surveys Division and the Ministry of Energy of Trinidad and Tobago to adjust the recent precise national GPS network on the International Terrestrial Reference Frame, compute optimal transformation parameters between the six horizontal datums used in this region and compute a precise geoid for the country. This paper summarizes the work done on this project, including a related academic research on regional tectonic deformation, and suggests some further geodetic improvements.
