Dexmedetomidine and meperidine prevent postanaesthetic shivering

Abstract

Intraoperative intravenously administration of dexmedetomidine 1 microg kg(-1) reduces postanaesthetic shivering as does meperidine 0.5 mg kg(-1) in patients after major surgery.
