Morbidity of Anastomotic Leaks in Patients Undergoing Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass

Abstract

Anastomotic leaks significantly increase the likelihood of developing additional life-threatening complications after RYGB. Close and aggressive monitoring is recommended for early detection and management of added complications, should they occur.
