Abstract An acute, self‐limited, asymmetric, polyarthritis is described in 21 Navajo patients, which in all cases affected the knee and, in most, other joints as well. All patients had sterile cultures and negative tests for rheumatoid factor and LE preparations. One patient had multiple bouts without residual defect. We believe that Navajo Arthritis is a distinct syndrome of unknown etiology.
