A novel method of producing optimum switching functions for the voltage and harmonic control of DC-to-AC bridge inverters using neural networks is presented. Results obtained from an experimental implementation of a neural network-based inverter system are included. The implementation does not depend on any hardware configuration and can be modified without affecting the performance.
