Abstract

The influence of Chinese culture in the kindergarten curriculum is expressed in its ideological and philosophical base as well as in its goals, content, teaching methods, organization, and evaluation. The core of Chinese education is in ethics and morality. Relationships are also important. Changes in the curriculum of the kindergarten in the People's Republic of China were seen in the reforms of the 1980s. With the opening up of Chinese society to Western ideas, new models of kindergarten curriculum are evolving.
