Abstract Polymer-supported sulfinimidoyl chloride was prepared in four steps from chloromethyl polystyrene resin. Stoichiometric and catalytic oxidations of various alcohols to the corresponding carbonyl compounds were carried out cleanly by using the prepared polymer-bound oxidant.
