Seroepidemiology of Entamoeba histolytica Infection in General Population in Rural Durango, Mexico

Abstract

The seroprevalence of E. histolytica infection found in adults in rural Durango is high compared with those reported in other Mexican populations. The correlates of E. histolytica seropositivity found in the present study may be useful for the planning of optimal preventive measures against E. histolytica infection.
