Model calculation studies are presented for the effects of an external magnetic field on the thermal and binary diffusion coefficients of a dilute gas of polyatomic molecules. We consider binary isotopic mixtures of N2 and CO and binary mixtures of CH4, CD4, and CF4. Rigid interaction models are employed. In the high field limit we find approximate decreases of 1% in the thermal diffusion coefficient and of 10−3% in the binary diffusion coefficient.
