Convergence Behavior of the Born Series for Rearrangement Collisions

Abstract

It is shown that the commonly used arguments to prove the divergence of the Born series for rearrangement collisions at all energies do not hold. As a counterexample, a one-dimensional three-body collision with $\ensuremath{\delta}$-function interactions is treated in detail.
