The immediate effect of intravenous infusion of some hormones on UFA in plasma in human beings was studied on short-term experiments. ACTH and growth hormone of pig origin had no significant effect on UFA. Lactogenic hormone and glucagon had a similar reducing effect on UFA. Noradrenaline increased UFA to roughly the same extent as a corresponding dose of adrenaline. No changes in triglycerides and phospholipids were observed in these experiments.
