Abstract

A Dy@C 82 derivative bearing a single phosphorus substituent has been obtained in 90% yield by the regio- and chemoselective zwitterion reaction of Dy@C 82 with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and triphenylphosphine. The structure of the product is confirmed by MS, UV−vis−NIR spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography.
