Induction of Anesthesia with Ketamine Reduces the Magnitude of Redistribution Hypothermia

Abstract

Core hypothermia during the first hour of anesthesia was less after induction of anesthesia with ketamine than propofol. Maintaining arteriovenous shunt vasoconstriction during induction of anesthesia reduces the magnitude of redistribution hypothermia.
