Abstract

• Five patients who had well-characterized primary immunodeficiency diseases and extensive verrucosis represent an additional and independent line of evidence that the immune system is important in the host's defense against wart-virus infection. They also suggest that physicians should consider the possibility of a primary immunodeficiency disease in patients with extensive verrucae. ( Arch Dermatol 1983;119:5-7)
