During the past 10 years an orderly and logical classification has been attempted by several authors (1-3). A modification of the classification proposed by Finegold, Will, and Murray (3) includes 3 types of pulmonary aspergillosis. The first is invasion of the lung as part of widespread blood-borne dissemination. The second is the pneumonic form, with involvement of the pulmonary parenchyma.
