Zyderm® Collagen Implant is a highly purified, pepsin‐solubilized bovine collagen, which can be injected in the skin to correct soft‐tissue depressions. Thus far, it has been used in California without serious difficulty. Clinical improvement from its use is estimated to be from 50–85%. The material is useful for scars resulting from acne, varicella, and trauma, and for some wrinkles and creases on the face.
