First Phases of Regeneration of <i>Cistus Laurifolius</i> and <i>Cistus Ladanifer</i> After Burning and Cutting in Experimental Plots

Abstract

The first phases of regeneration of two Cistus species (Cistus laurifolius and Cistus ladanfer) are compared in experimental plots that were subjected to different treatments: cutting and burning. In both treatments the parameters used were: seedling number, height and cover. Differences between their rowth are discussed and compared with that of Erica australis subsp. aragonensis, that can resprout vegetatively.
