Complex Halide Vapors in Metal Halide type HID Lamps

Abstract

AbstractThe authors report on experimental data that show large vapor pressure enhancement, via complex compound formation, in the scandium iodidealkali iodide systems. It also is shown from arc measurements that the additive densities in the arc are consistent with the enhanced vaporization.
