Abstract

A patient with the clinical and histologic features of the Senear-Usher syndrome (pemphigus erythematosus) was examined by use of the fluorescent antibody technique. Direct and indirect fluorescent staining demonstrated immunologic changes characteristic of both pemphigus and lupus erythematosus. These findings support the suggestion that the Senear-Usher syndrome results from a coexistence of the two diseases.
