Rumphellolide G, a New Caryophyllane-type Tetrahydropyran Norsesquiterpenoid from the Gorgonian Coral <i>Rumphella antipathies</i> (Gorgoniidae)

Abstract

Abstract A new caryophyllane-type tetrahydropyran norsesquiterpenoid, rumphellolide G (1), has been isolated from the gorgonian coral Rumphella antipathies, collected off southern Taiwan coast. The structure of caryophyllane 1 was elucidated by the interpretation of spectral data.
